According to a report by the Times of India, the prominent coaching institute has allegedly ceased its educational operations without providing any prior notice to enrolled candidates.

The sudden closure has heavily disrupted the academic schedules of thousands of students who were relying on the institute for their board and competitive exam preparations. Many of these students had paid substantial advance fees for their courses. With the coaching centers shuttered overnight, families are now scrambling to find alternative guidance while facing severe financial uncertainty.
NCLT Proceedings and Regulatory Context
This operational collapse follows a prolonged period of financial distress for the parent company. Insolvency proceedings against MT Educare have been actively pending before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) since December 2022. Despite these ongoing legal proceedings, the sudden cessation of classes without student communication has intensified concerns regarding consumer protection in the education sector.
Calls for Government Intervention and Industry Support
In response to the crisis, a charitable organization has stepped forward to urge the state government to launch a thorough investigation into the matter. The advocacy group is calling on authorities to take immediate steps to protect student interests and secure refunds or alternative solutions for affected families.
Meanwhile, some relief is being offered from within the academic community. Arihant Academy has officially offered to accommodate a portion of the affected students at its various branches, aiming to help them resume their exam preparation with minimal disruption.
